Artist Bio

I'm Lish Grooves, a musician and producer making genre blending music—ambient grooves, funk, jazz, blues, hip-hop, alternative, and experimental music are all part of my sound. I weave my poetry into my music, and I also incorporate self-recorded nature sounds to create unique soundscapes and weird grooves. 

I’ve been bringing a microphone out into forests and beaches for years, and over 15 years, I've built an extensive sound bank of environmental recordings capturing everything from coastal environments and busy urban intersections to quiet natural soundscapes. These recordings become the compositional foundation for much of my music.

My commissioned work has generated over 20 million plays across YouTube and TikTok, with tracks like "Inner Outer" (7.88 million plays) and "Blueprint for the Future" (3.19 million plays) used in thousands of video creations. I've released multiple albums and EPs including Flow State (2021), Ambient Grooves (2020), and most recently Intonations (2025) and Sun Chill (2025).

As a producer, I've collaborated with artists including Gab of Gaia (The Spirit Yearns to Move, 2020), Akemi Alchemy (Flow Lines, 2025), and Triana Presley (Overwinter, 2026), serving as recording engineer, mixing engineer, and session musician. My debut vocal album The Dots Connect Eventually releases in spring 2026, representing an evolution from primarily instrumental work to incorporating my own voice and poetry.

In 2024, I published the poetry collection It's Everyone's First Time in This Life, exploring themes of presence, impermanence, and shared human experience.
